DBH Seals

A radial shaft seal (also called an oil seal) keeps the grease or oil in a bearing from escaping out of the housing, and keeps dirt, water or dust from entering from outside into the bearing. It is a small, inexpensive part compared with what it protects, but a poorly chosen or worn seal is one of the most common causes of a bearing washing out and failing prematurely.

DBH radial shaft seals with a designation ending in Pol are lip seals for rotating shafts: they keep lubricant inside the assembly and block the entry of dust, water and particles. This type groups four-digit codes followed by the Pol suffix, such as 1001Pol, 6558Pol or 9902Pol. Each code is a different size and configuration, so it is best to identify it in full.
