The BR Line is a high-torque flexible coupling designed for low rotation. It works with a flexible center that deforms to transmit movement between the two hubs, without lubrication and with minimal maintenance. The designation is read with the letters BR followed by the size: BR-100, BR-110, BR-150, BR-160, BR-180, BR-220, BR-230 and BR-320. Each model has its nominal torque, maximum bore, pilot hole, flexible center diameter, overall length, weight and maximum speed.

This type of coupling is used in slow, heavy drives in Argentine industry: mills, conveyor belts, bucket elevators, mixers, positive displacement pumps, machines for cement, mining, paper and aggregate processing. Where the motor starts under load or there are torque spikes, the flexible center dampens and protects both the gearbox and the driven equipment.

To select the model, start from the machine torque and apply the service factor according to the type of load and the working hours. Check that the diameter of each shaft does not exceed the maximum bore of the hub and that the working rpm stays below the maximum speed of the coupling. Alignment between shafts must be careful: the flexible element tolerates misalignment, but poor alignment shortens its life. Installation does not require lubrication.
