The Gates E series V-belt is a power transmission element that is mounted on grooved pulleys to link a motor with a machine. Its V profile sits in the pulley groove and transmits motion by friction, with good performance at short center distances and demanding transmission ratios. It is used in industrial equipment that operates continuously and needs stable running.

The E series designation is read with the letter that identifies the section and the number that indicates the belt length. For example, E180, E195 and E240 correspond to the same E section with different nominal lengths. The higher the number, the longer the length.
