The DBH 1211 oil seal is a lip-type radial seal designed to keep lubricant in and block dust, water or particles from entering rotating shaft equipment. It is mounted between the shaft and the housing bore, and its A 298-Bidi design works on a 45 mm shaft and a 70 mm housing, with a height of 14.0/17.0 mm. It is a wear part: when oil leakage or dirt ingress appears, it is replaced.

This oil seal is identified by its designation 1211 and by its dimensions: 45 mm shaft diameter, 70 mm housing diameter and 14.0/17.0 mm height. The A 298-Bidi design corresponds to a double-lip seal, that is, a main sealing lip facing the oil and a secondary lip that reinforces contaminant retention on the outer side. During installation, lubricate the lip, do not strike it and seat it evenly with a tube or shim of the correct diameter. A lip installed crooked or on a scratched shaft loses sealing even if the dimension is correct.
