V-belts

V-belts are power transmission elements that connect pulleys and transmit motion between shafts. They are selected according to the section, type, and number of grooves, data that come from the pulley and the power to be transmitted. At MR Accesorios Industriales, we sell 2437 SKF PHG series references, covering different sections and configurations for industrial applications.

The SKF PHG series includes classic and high-performance V-belts. The letters in the part numbers indicate the section: 3V, A, AX, B, BX, BB, C, CC, D, E, SPB, and Z. Letters alone correspond to classic sections; the X indicates high-performance profiles (such as AX, BX); double letters (BB, CC) indicate double V-belts; and SPB is a narrow-section profile according to European standards. The number following the section is the nominal length, and the EP suffix identifies belts with a special compound for demanding conditions.

These belts are used in fans, pumps, compressors, mills, conveyors, and machine tools, among other applications. The selection depends on the pulley: you must respect the section and the number of grooves, and check the outer length so the belt has the correct tension. For drives with multiple-groove pulleys, multi-groove belts are used, identified by the Grooves (multi-groove) field.

To request a quote for a V-belt, we need the full part number (for example, PHG 3V1180X3, PHG A148, PHG B138, PHG SPB2650X4), or the section, length, and number of grooves. If you do not have the part number, we can find the equivalence from the pulley size and the old belt length. You can also ask about timing belts, Poly-V belts, or polyurethane belts if your application requires another profile.
