ASA 180 roller chain
ASA 180 roller chain: 2 1/4" pitch (57.15 mm) under ANSI B29.1. 30 references from DIAMOND, SKF, and TSUBAKI. Send us the code, the number of strands and the length, and we will quote it.
The ASA number gives the pitch: the first digit, or the first two, in eighths of an inch (ASA 40 is 4/8 = 1/2", ASA 80 is 8/8 = 1"). The last digit gives the type: 0 is standard roller chain, 1 lightweight (ASA 41) and 5 rollerless bushing chain (ASA 25 and 35).
The code stamped on the plates is enough for a quote. If it cannot be read, measure the pitch (the distance between the centres of two consecutive pins) and the inner width, and tell us how many strands and how many pitches or metres you need.
Besides the brands below, we manufacture our own ASA chains in Buenos Aires, Argentina, up to sextuple strand.
