SKF spherical plain bearings have no rolling elements: an inner ring with a spherical outside slides inside the outer ring. They are made for oscillating and tilting movements, with high loads and low speed, not for continuous rotation. The same line holds loose spherical plain bearings and rod ends, which carry the bearing fitted in a threaded body.

GE 20 ES is a radial spherical plain bearing: GE names the series, 20 is the bore in millimetres and ES the execution. GE 20 ES-2RS is the same bearing with an extra block, and it is another reference. The GEZ series, as in GEZ 012 ES, covers inch sizes; its number is not read as millimetres.
Rod ends start with S. In SIKAC 10 M and SAKAC 10 M the second letter changes, which tells a female thread from a male thread, and the number is again the bore of the bearing. An L added to the prefix marks a left-hand thread. These parts are ordered by the complete designation of the body, not by that of the bearing inside.
To choose a spherical plain bearing you need to know how the point moves: how much it oscillates, how much it tilts and whether the load always acts in the same direction or reverses. In a hydraulic cylinder, a steering arm or a linkage, those conditions change from one end of the same equipment to the other.
Some bearings are relubricated and others run maintenance-free, and they do not replace one another without reviewing the application. If the removed bearing had a grease fitting or lubrication grooves, write it down. On rod ends, measure the thread and confirm its hand: an adjusting rod usually carries one right-hand and one left-hand.
Send us the complete designation and the quantity. Without a code, measure the bore, the outside diameter and both widths, that of the inner ring and that of the outer ring, because in a spherical plain bearing they differ. For a rod end add the thread diameter and pitch, whether it is female or male and its hand. Tell us which equipment it works on and whether the point is greased. A side photo shows the seals and the type of body.
They have the same main dimensions, but they are different references. Keep the one fitted to the equipment.

Look at the prefix: it carries an L. If it cannot be read, try the nut or the rod before ordering.
