The Gummi AN Line pneumatic coupling is a power transmission component that connects two shafts and absorbs torque fluctuations. It works with a pressurized rubber chamber between two steel rings: by adjusting the air pressure, the stiffness of the assembly is set. It is used in combustion engines, compressors, reciprocating pumps and mills, where torque is not constant.

The AN Line is identified by the letters AN followed by a number and the letter A, as in AN 11A, AN 13A or AN 15A. That designation orders the sizes in the line. The coupling works with a pressurized rubber chamber between two steel rings: the air pressure defines the stiffness and the ability to absorb torque variations. This way, the system adapts to loads that are not even, something typical of reciprocating engines and equipment with cyclic motion.
