The ASA 40 is one of the most widely used roller chains in medium-power industrial transmissions: 12.7 mm (half-inch) pitch, with 7.95 mm roller and inner width, according to the DONGHUA listing we have loaded.
With these dimensions, the ASA 40 transmits power between 40-pitch sprockets in conveyors, gearmotors, mixers and agricultural machinery. It is an intermediate pitch: lighter than the ASA 50 or the ASA 60 for lower loads, and stronger than the ASA 35 when the power to be transmitted increases.
It is available in single, double or triple —two or three rows of rollers in parallel with the same pitch and pin— to increase transmission capacity without changing the base sprocket, provided the sprocket is prepared for the number of rows you need.
