The DBH 8838 radial shaft seal is a lip seal designed to close off the passage of lubricant and stop the entry of dust and water on rotating shafts. With a 12 mm shaft diameter, 25 mm housing bore and 5 mm height, and Lz design, it is press-fitted into the housing and runs on the shaft with the lip in contact. It is a wear part: when it starts to leak, it should be replaced before the lubricant escapes and damages the bearing.
