The DBH 6800 radial shaft seal is a lip seal designed to close off the passage of oil, grease or water on shafts that rotate inside a housing. Its function is to retain the lubricant inside and stop the entry of dust, chips or moisture, protecting bearings, bushings and gears. It is press-fitted into the housing and runs against the shaft surface, which must be ground and free of marks for the lip to seal properly.
