The BGL MBL series lock washer is a fastening accessory placed between the KM nut and the mounting sleeve to prevent the nut from loosening due to vibration. Its design with a straight internal tooth engages in the sleeve groove and its tabs are bent over the nut. It is made of carbon steel, with a stainless steel option, and is available in several sizes for shafts of different diameters.

In corrosive environments or with frequent washdowns, the stainless steel version should be chosen.

MBL lock washers are interchangeable with those of other brands that follow the same standard for sleeves and KM nuts. When looking for a replacement, the safest approach is to compare the shaft diameter, the sleeve thread pitch and the shape of the internal tooth. The MB, MBL and MBA series share the straight internal tooth, while the AW series has an inclined tooth and is not directly interchangeable.
