The BGL H series adapter sleeve is a mounting component that allows tapered bore bearings to be fixed onto plain shafts, with no need for a shoulder or step. It is supplied complete with sleeve, lock nut and lock washer or MS lock. Made of BGL nodular cast iron of higher quality than DIN 1563 GJS 500-7, with a carbon steel or stainless steel option. It is the solution to convert a cylindrical seat into a tapered one and secure the bearing with the correct interference.

The H series designation is read by the number that follows the letter: it indicates the shaft diameter on which it is mounted. For example, H30/710E corresponds to a 710 mm shaft, and H31/1000E to a 1000 mm one. The E suffix indicates that the sleeve is supplied with the lock nut and lock washer included. The prefixes H30, H31 and H39 group different relationships between the shaft diameter and the tapered bore of the bearing; choose the one that matches the series of the bearing to be mounted.

The MS lock prevents the nut from loosening due to vibration. Aligning the shaft and the housing is essential to avoid inducing parasitic loads. If the environment has dust or moisture, consider additional protection.
