SKF couplings in the catalog carry the PHE prefix and join two shafts to transmit rotation while absorbing small misalignments. The line includes jaw, grid and tyre couplings, and almost none is a single piece: they are built from hubs, a flexible element and, depending on the type, a cover. Each part has its own code, and a complete order names them all.

In grid couplings, PHE 1020TGGRID is the element, PHE 1020TGHCOVER is the cover and PHE 1020TGRSB is a hub. The number 1020 is the size and must be repeated on every part. Ordering the grid alone works when the hubs are sound; a new coupling needs two hubs, the grid and the cover.
The same applies to tyre couplings: PHE F40NRTYRE is the rubber element of size F40 and PHE F40RSBFLG is one of the flanges. Jaw couplings, of the L series, show the size and the hub bore in the code. If the hub comes without a finished bore or for a taper bushing, the last block says so.
The coupling is sized by the torque it transmits and by the shafts it joins, not by the apparent size of the old one. You need the power and speed of the motor, the type of driven machine and both shaft diameters, which are often different. Equipment with frequent starts or shock loads calls for a larger margin.
The flexible element is the part that wears. When it breaks often, check the alignment between the shafts before replacing it again: the coupling tolerates a small misalignment, but does not correct it. When replacing only the element, confirm the size marked on the hubs.
Send us the codes of the parts you need and the quantity of each. For a complete coupling, state type and size, both shaft diameters with their keyways and whether the hubs have a finished bore or a taper bushing. Without a code, give us power, speed, the driven machine, the distance between shaft ends and a photo of the assembled coupling.
