SKF centralized lubrication systems: components

The codes in this line are part numbers. LL/352-005-VS and LL/24-0404-2337 do not say by themselves which part it is or what output it has: they identify a specific component of the manufacturer. Other references, such as LL/DDC-222 and LL/DCM-20, group parts of the same family with a number that marks the size or the variant.

That is why the code is copied in full, with the slash, the hyphens and the final letters, from the nameplate of the component or from the parts list of the system. Two references that differ by one digit may be two metering devices of different output or two fittings with another thread. If the nameplate cannot be read, the reference is rebuilt from the type of system and the data of the part.

There are single-line, dual-line and progressive systems, and the components of one do not work in another. In a progressive system, the feeders distribute the lubricant in sequence and one blocked point stops all the others; in a single-line system, each metering device delivers its dose when the line is pressurized and vented. Knowing which one the machine has organizes the whole search.

When a point receives no lubricant, the cause is usually upstream: a broken hose, a loose fitting, air in the line, a stuck metering device or an empty reservoir. Before ordering a spare part, check what reaches each section. The lubricant matters too: not every grease pumps well through long, thin lines.

Send us the complete LL reference and the quantity. Add the make and model of the pump, the type of system, the number of points it lubricates and which lubricant it uses. For a metering device or a feeder, state the number of outlets and the output shown on the part; for a fitting or a hose, the thread, the tube diameter and the length. A photo of the nameplate and one of the component as fitted help identify it.
