INA Y bearings and inserts

An INA Y bearing or insert receives the shaft within a housed arrangement. Separate the insert reference from the shape of the surrounding housing when describing it. A pillow block and a flange unit may look like different requests externally, while the inquiry may concern only their inner bearing. An insert should also not be confused with a conventional deep groove bearing simply because both use balls.

Identifying the designation

The line includes UC201, GYE12-XL-KRR-B and GE17-XL-KRR-B. UC201 combines letters and digits without separators; the others add hyphenated blocks. GYE and GE are different groups and must remain complete. Copy XL-KRR-B together without assigning material, seal type or service conditions to those segments here. The full designation guides identification; neither a matching number nor similar faces confirms correspondence with the existing housing.

Position and surrounding assembly

On a shaft supported by a structure, relate the insert bore, outside surface and shaft fastening arrangement. These details distinguish which part is being replaced. For conveying or feeding machinery, a photograph of the whole support locates the position, while an insert detail shows its own marking. If the housing remains, document its condition and geometry so the request does not describe a complete unit when only the inner component is needed.

Information for a quote

Prepare the insert code, shaft diameter, outside and width measurements, photograph and application for MR Accesorios Industriales. Add the housing code if visible, an image of the shaft fastening and the number of identical positions. When each face has a different marking, photograph both and copy each block without combining them by guesswork. A machine drawing helps establish which designation belongs to the replacement.

Is the housing reference enough to order the insert?

It helps, but the inner component needs its own identification and verification of the shaft connection.

Does UC201 match anything ending in 201?

No. A partially matching number does not demonstrate equal construction or mounting.

Should I send a photograph of the complete unit?

Yes, together with an insert detail. Both views distinguish the requested component from the surrounding housing.
