DODGE bushings and components

DODGE bushings and components connect transmission elements to shafts. Not every item in this category is the same type of bushing: hubs and other references must be identified by their actual names. This distinction prevents requesting a part belonging elsewhere in the assembly. Recognizing the mounting system relates the bushing to the receiving pulley or sprocket.

Identifying the designation

The catalog identifies 1008 as a TAPER-LOCK bushing, 117043 as a QD bushing and 121150 as a split taper bushing. All three codes are numeric but do not necessarily share a reading rule. The last record states a 24 mm bore; this comes from its attribute, not from splitting its digits. Retain both product number and designation when present rather than reconstructing a model from similar numbers.

Application and machine position

In a fan, conveyor or pump drive, the bushing must match the shaft and the pulley or wheel seat. Check taper, length, hole arrangement and screw access using assembly documentation. Record any key geometry as another interface. Flange appearance or screw count cannot establish interchangeability between systems; include the receiving component in the comparison.

Information for a quote

Send MR Accesorios Industriales the code, shaft diameter, bushing dimensions and front and side photographs. Include application, quantity and the associated pulley, sprocket or hub reference. Explain whether only the bushing is required or the assembly is being reconstructed, and attach a drawing for a modified seat.

Do TAPER-LOCK and QD name the same part?

They are distinct catalog identifications. Selection requires checking the mounting system and receiving component as well as shaft diameter.

Should a hub be requested as a bushing?

Use the name in its record. Hub and bushing can occupy different positions within one transmission.

Is a number without letters sufficient for an inquiry?

It is a useful starting point when complete and associated with DODGE. Add dimensions and photographs to relate it to the installed part.

Main series

QD Taper Bushing DODGE

The QD bushing is a tapered fastening element that mounts between the shaft and the hub of pulleys, gears, sprockets or couplings. It is installed with screws that, when tightened, compress the bushing onto the shaft and lock it against the hub, achieving a firm, removable connection without additional machining. It is a key part in power transmission because it transmits torque, centers the hub and simplifies component replacement in industrial equipment.

TAPER-LOCK DODGE Taper Bushing

The TAPER-LOCK taper bushing is a fastening component mounted between the shaft and the transmission element, such as pulleys, sprockets or couplings. Its tapered design allows a firm, centered fit when the screws are tightened, which makes mounting and removal easy without hammering. MR Accesorios Industriales sells the DODGE line in various sizes to handle power transmission applications in Argentine industry.

DODGE BK2 series split taper bushing

The BK2 series split taper bushing is a mounting component used to secure pulleys, gears and other transmission elements onto cylindrical shafts. Its split design allows for simple installation and removal, without the need to disassemble the entire assembly. MR Accesorios Industriales carries this DODGE line in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
