Angular contact bearings have raceways and balls in oblique contact, so they take combined radial and axial loads; the axial load in one direction only. To cover both directions they are mounted in pairs or with preload. They are selected by combined load, speed, required rigidity and precision class, higher in spindles and lower in general applications.

Series 70, 72 and 73 increase in size with the same bore: 7000, 7200 and 7300 in NTN. The last two digits multiplied by 5 give the bore from 04; 7028 BGM from SKF is 140 mm, and with 00 and 03 the bore is 10 mm and 17 mm, as in 7003 A from NSK. The letter indicates the contact angle: generally B is 40° (7200B from NTN, 7203 B from NSK), and A is 30° (7203 A). SKF adds letters to the series, such as 7200 BEP or 7201 BECBP, which define the internal design, cage and pairing.

They are used in machine tool spindles, milling heads, electric motors, pumps, compressors and gearboxes where axial rigidity and rotational accuracy are required. When ordering, indicate whether it is used singly or paired, and in that case the pair arrangement.

We work with NTN, SKF, FAG, NSK and TIMKEN angular contact bearings. Send us the complete code with all suffixes via WhatsApp or email, or if you don't have it, the shaft diameter, outside diameter, width and contact angle. We will indicate the cross-reference between brands and quote promptly.

Dimensions and tolerances: Send us the part number via WhatsApp and we'll confirm the dimensions and version against the manufacturer's data sheet.
