The angular ring is an auxiliary part, not a bearing. It is mounted together with a cylindrical roller bearing of the NU design, which has the inner ring without ribs, and adds a flange against which the inner ring rests in one direction. Thus the assembly can take axial load in that direction and locate the shaft, something the NU alone cannot do.
All codes start with HJ followed by the number of the cylindrical bearing with which it combines: HJ 204 from NSK, HJ222 from NTN or HJ 212 EC from SKF are chosen based on the NU you have mounted. The final letters, such as E or EC, are execution variants specific to each manufacturer, so it is advisable to request the code with all its suffixes.
It is used in gearboxes, electric motors, pumps, and fans, where the shaft needs to be located axially in one direction. The ring takes axial load in one direction only: if the load changes direction during operation, another arrangement of the assembly must be reviewed. When choosing it, the criterion is the associated bearing, because diameter, width, and support geometry must match.
We work with NTN, NSK, and SKF angular rings. Send us the ring code or the NU bearing code with its suffixes and, if you have the equivalence from another brand, also: we will indicate the compatible ring and quote you via WhatsApp or email promptly.
Dimensions and tolerances: Send us the part number via WhatsApp and we'll confirm the dimensions and version against the manufacturer's data sheet.
