NSK Guide in Argentina: bearing lines, what each one is for and how to get a quote by code

NSK Bearings in Argentina: what MR sells

If you're looking for NSK bearings in Argentina, at MR Accesorios Industriales we work with the brand from Buenos Aires and we quote by code. NSK is one of the best-known bearing brands in the industrial world, and its catalog covers everything from deep groove ball bearings for electric motors to spherical roller bearings for mills, screens and large gearboxes.

In this guide we review the NSK subcategories that are most requested: needle bearings, tapered roller bearings, Y inserts, deep groove ball bearings, spherical roller bearings, needle cages and components, cylindrical roller bearings and thrust ball bearings. For each one we tell you what it's used for, in which equipment it appears and what data you should have on hand so the quote comes out fast and without back-and-forth.

The idea is simple: you can identify what type of NSK bearing you need, read the code on the old part and send us your inquiry by WhatsApp or email. We sell genuine NSK product and, if you bring the code from another brand, we give you the NSK equivalent so you don't have to stop the equipment looking for the exact reference.

NSK Needle Bearings and Their Components

NSK needle bearings are the subcategory with the most references of the brand in our catalog. They use very thin, long rollers, the needles, which allow them to support high radial load in a minimal radial space. That's why they appear in gearboxes, hydraulic pumps, universal joints, rocker arms, compressors and in any design where the housing doesn't leave room for a ball bearing.

Within this line there are drawn cup needle bushings, solid needle bearings with or without inner ring, and a separate subcategory of needle cages and components, which are mounted directly on the hardened shaft. Codes like B-97 or Y-88 are examples of NSK needle bearings that are ordered by their alphanumeric designation, just as they come engraved on the part.

When ordering a needle bearing, it's best to send the complete code and, if it can't be read, three measurements: shaft diameter, outer diameter and width. It also helps to say whether the old part had an inner ring or whether the needles worked directly on the shaft, because that defines which variant we need to quote.

NSK Tapered Roller Bearings: cones, cups and combined loads

NSK tapered roller bearings support radial load and axial load in one direction at the same time, and that's why they are almost always mounted in facing pairs. They are the typical bearing for wheel hubs, differentials, gearboxes, transmission cases of agricultural and road machinery, and many equipment shafts that work with axial thrust.

A tapered roller bearing has two parts that are sold and ordered separately: the cone, which is the inner ring with the rollers and cage, and the cup, which is the outer ring. In the inch line each part has its own number; for example, 5566 and 3982 are NSK cones that are combined with their corresponding cup.

To quote tapered roller bearings, send us the cone number and the cup number, which come engraved on each part. If you only have one of the two, it still works for us: with that number and the measurements we tell you the correct pair. In metric series, the assembly code usually identifies both parts together.

NSK Spherical Roller Bearings for Heavy Loads and Misalignment

NSK spherical roller bearings have two rows of barrel-shaped rollers and a spherical outer raceway, which allows them to absorb misalignment between shaft and housing without losing load capacity. They are the standard in crushers, mills, vibrating screens, industrial fans, conveyor rollers and large gearboxes.

In the NSK catalog there are codes like 23122CE4, 24130CE4 and 23140CE4. The first digits indicate the dimension series (231 or 241, for example) and the following ones the bore size. Many applications use the tapered bore version, indicated with the letter K, which is mounted on an adapter sleeve inside a split housing.

When the spherical roller bearing works hot or with tight fits, it is usually ordered with C3 internal clearance, greater than normal. When quoting, check whether the old part has K or C3 in the code and send us the complete designation: those details change the bearing that goes in the equipment.

NSK Deep Groove Ball Bearings and Y Inserts: the most used in maintenance

NSK deep groove ball bearings are the most common ball bearings in any plant: electric motors, centrifugal pumps, fans, tensioner pulleys and industrial appliances. They support radial load and some axial load in both directions, rotate with low friction and don't need much maintenance when they come factory-sealed.

In these bearings the suffix tells you how it comes protected: 2RS indicates rubber seal on both sides, ideal for dusty or splashing environments, and 2Z indicates metal shield on both sides, more intended for high speeds in clean environments. A C3 at the end of the code marks greater internal clearance than normal, common in electric motors.

NSK Y bearings or inserts are ball bearings with an extended inner ring that are fixed to the shaft with set screws or with an eccentric collar. They are mounted inside pillow block, flange or tensioner housings, and are widely used in agriculture, conveyors and the food industry because they allow quick replacements without machining the shaft.

NSK Cylindrical and Thrust Ball Bearings

NSK cylindrical roller bearings have a very high radial load capacity for their size and, depending on the flange design, allow the shaft to move axially due to expansion. They are used in large electric motors, gearboxes, rolling mills, pumps and spindles, often combined with a deep groove ball bearing that locates the shaft.

NSK thrust ball bearings are designed for pure axial load: they do not support radial load. They consist of two washers, one that goes to the shaft and another to the housing, with a ball crown between them. You will find them in rotary tables, mechanical jacks, vertical heads, agitators and many mechanisms where the thrust goes in the shaft direction.

In both cases, the code engraved on the ring is the most useful data. If the bearing arrived very worn and can't be read, send us inner diameter, outer diameter and width or height, plus a photo: with that we identify the NSK series and quote it for you.

How to Get a Quote for NSK Bearings with MR

To get a quote for NSK bearings, write to us by WhatsApp or email with the complete code, as it appears on the part, including suffixes. If you don't have the code, send us the main measurements and a photo of the bearing and the place where it is mounted. With that data we reply shortly with the quote and the exact reference.

If in your plant you work with other brands and want to switch to NSK, or vice versa, bring the code you use today and we tell you the equivalent. The same for orders of several references together: put together the list with code and quantity, and we quote everything in a single response so you can compare and decide quickly.

MR Accesorios Industriales has served industry from Buenos Aires, Argentina, since 1945. In addition to NSK bearings, we work with housings, power transmission, seals, lubrication and tools, so you can resolve in the same order the bearing and what goes around it: housing, sleeve, seal or grease.

Frequently asked questions

Where to buy NSK bearings in Argentina?

At MR Accesorios Industriales, in Buenos Aires, we sell genuine NSK bearings. Send us the code, the measurement or a photo by WhatsApp or email and we will quote them shortly.

What does 2RS mean in an NSK bearing?

2RS indicates that the bearing has a rubber seal on both sides. It protects against dust and moisture and retains factory grease. 2Z, on the other hand, indicates metal shield on both sides.

How do I order an NSK tapered roller bearing?

Send us the cone number and the cup number, which come engraved on each part. If you only have one of the two, with that number and the measurements we tell you the correct pair.

What do I do if the NSK bearing code can't be read?

Measure inner diameter, outer diameter and width, and send us a photo of the part and the place where it is mounted. With that we identify the reference and quote it for you.

Can you give me the NSK equivalent of another brand?

Yes. Bring the code you use today, from any brand, and we tell you the equivalent NSK bearing with its quote.
